Game Day Coaches Clinic 2009

The Sarnia Sting in partnership with the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) is pleased to announce a ‘Game Day Coaches Clinic’ for members of the OMHA.

The Sting invite all Minor Hockey coaches and team personnel to register, participate and listen to presentations from the Sarnia Sting Coaching Staff. Each presentation will be approximately 20 minutes with a 10-minute question and answer period afterward.

What is a Game Day Coaches Clinic?

Game Day Coaches Clinics provide coaches with the opportunity to learn and interact with professional coaches at the junior and pro levels. Interactive sessions will include Game Day preparation, technical and tactical skill development, special teams and offensive and defensive concepts and advice on equipments and training & nutrition. Coaches then get to watch theory put into practice with a ticket to an OHL or AHL game.

Coaching Certification

Earn 5 points towards your coaching certification at an OMHA Game Day Coaches Clinic. The OMHA Continuing Education Program [CEP] provides OMHA coaches the following options of:

Ø Renewing their coaching certification through a Refresher Clinic or

Ø By earning points through activities recognized by CEP. A total of 20 points over three years will re-certify coaches.
